Feature documentary about the six brothers of the Angulo family who lived, for fourteen years, as prisoners of their father in their small New York apartment. Forbidden to go outside, the Angulo boys became curious of a world they could never experience and began recreating it from movies that they were allowed to watch including 'Reservoir Dogs', 'Pulp Fiction' and 'No Country for Old Men'. Their lives became re-enactments of classic films and plotlines until, one day, one of the brothers decided to escape. Film-maker Crystal Moselle spent time with the family documenting their lives for the outside world to see.
